Konohart
Drawing inspiration from Harajuku, Konohart combines elements of Japanese street fashion, pop culture, and kawaii aesthetics to create digital illustrations.
She enjoys creating artwork that gives a sense of nostalgia and feels like a throwback to 2000’s moe style Japanese animation shoes but with her own Decora-esque twist. This is achieved by decorating the subjects, shading and background with hearts, stars, shines and more!
Konohart also draws inspiration from the local J-Fashion scene within the UK which has seen a large resurgence over the last few years considerably following lockdown. It was during this time that she returned back to using an art style that she found joy in and found her place within the online art community.
This series is to depict by her own individual style, Guro Kawaii, and Decora - with one featuring a character reminiscent of Hatsune Miku who is a Vocaloid Mascot and a massive pop culture figure in Japanese anime media.
